A century ago, George-René Julio, the future husband of Andrée Jardin, began his apprenticeship as a brushier in Nantes, on the banks of the Erdre River, not far from the slaughterhouses of Talensac, where raw materials were supplied. In 1947, he opened his own factory: the adventure began.

The invention of plastic and the beginnings of globalization soon devalued everything that used to be called "Paris articles": hair brushes, toothbrushes, make-up brushes, household brushes, brooms... So much so that even today it is very difficult to find a real broom, a real brush and, what is more, a real duster.

Upon deciding that real brooms, brushes, and dusters should be created once more, Jean-Baptiste and François-Marie, Andrée's grandsons, reissue the mythical brushes with frames in French beech. Finally, real brooms that last!
